Adidas Flamengo, 1895 Film

We brought back Flamengo's origins and unforgettable moments to launch their new Jersey and honor the club's tradition. We invited three prominent artists from Rio's funk music scene, all passionate Flamengo supporters, to narrate the video with an exciting rhythm, scripted as a football match. The campaign marked the club's official launch of the second uniform and touched the hearts of fans and even supporters of other teams.

Hardcuore created, directed, and animated a 1-minute film telling the entire 123-year history of Flamengo to the rhythm of 150bpm funk.

We brought back Flamengo's origins and unforgettable moments to launch their new Jersey and honor the club's tradition. We invited three prominent artists from Rio's funk music scene, all passionate Flamengo supporters, to narrate the video with an exciting rhythm, scripted as a football match. The campaign marked the club's official launch of the second uniform and touched the hearts of fans and even supporters of other teams.

For the first time, their Jersey featured the rowing club's emblem, the sport that founded the Flamengo group in 1895, which later went on to create Brazil's most beloved football team. The result makes it clear that wearing this jersey means carrying the history of a nation.

We condensed the highlights of these 123 years into one minute, using contemporary language and aligning with Adidas' aesthetic as the club's sponsor. The video captures the excitement of a football match. The artists of 150bpm funk music, MC Maneirinho, MC Rebecca, and Rogerinho do Quêro, not only shared their passion for Flamengo but also brought their energetic voices to the video.

For social media, the materials were shared by the artists, the club, and Adidas. The results displayed the passionate Flamengo spirit: the jersey sold out in all Flamengo stores within one week, and the video garnered over one million views on the club and Adidas channels.
